Confirmation Camp

There is no better place on earth for campers to explore their Christian faith than at one of the three camps of Crossways Camping Ministries. Confirmation campers will experience all camp has to offer, engage in faith-filled conversations with their counselor and leave strengthened for service in their congregations, schools and communities. Campers, please contact your church to learn how to register for your pre-scheduled week.

In planning for Confirmation Camp, it is most beneficial if all youth from a congregation attend camp together. These benefits are lost when youth attend a Confirmation Camp apart from their own congregation. We discourage this except in rare circumstances. However, if that is necessary, you are responsible for making arrangements for your student to participate with another congregation's group during their week, and to notify us of which group that will be. Contact us if you need information on other churches attending during your week.

For similar reasons, each congregation should plan in advance to have an adult leader from your congregation present for the entire week. Preferably, that person would be the Pastor, AIM, Youth Director, or person responsible for confirmation instruction. Your presence (or absence) and participation is noticed by your students.

Reserve your 2012 Confirmation Camp dates ASAP by filling out this form or calling us at 920-882-0023. Hurry!  Weeks fill fast! 

Please be aware that the earlier you submit your request, the more likely you are to receive your requested week. This will help us complete assignments of congregations to specific weeks so your plans can be finalized. If you prefer, you can call us at 920-882-0023, fax the information to 920-882-9474, or email us at registrar@crosswayscamps.org.

We take reservations on a first-come first-served basis. You will be assigned your first preference unless there is a significant indication that the site for the week you request will be overbooked. We will contact you to discuss options if we are unable to place you in your requested week. (We won't automatically place you in your alternate preference - we just use this information as a starting off point for discussing other options with you.)

Camper Registration Process
 
We have provided a Confirmation Camp registration form that you can print out and customize with your church’s information. We have also provided the registration form as a Word Document that you are welcome to fill in the blanks with your church’s information. To expedite the registration process on our end, we strongly encourage you to keep the form as close to the original as possible and only change the payment and registration information.

We suggest that congregations use our Registration List to list the names of campers whose registrations are enclosed. This also helps if the parents are paying a portion of the camp fee and your church is also paying a portion. Please indicate the appropriate amounts being paid by each party on the Registration List. Per your indication, we will credit the camper’s account with the payment and charge the church account. The parents will see the balance that they are responsible for on the registration receipt. We cannot credit a camper’s balance with a verbal ‘ok’ from the camper, parents so we ask that you provide this information this documentation writing with a Church Campership form or email sent to registrar@crosswayscamps.org from the Pastor or Confirmation Coordinator.

NOTE: We require a separate registration form signed by a parent for EVERY camper attending camp. We cannot use information submitted verbally or on a list to register campers from churches verbally. We MUST have signed registration forms to register campers.
 

Registration Deadline
 
Our Early Registration cut off date is March 15th but registrations can be received anytime, space permitting. If your church has reserved a block of registrations for your group, those will be held until March 15th and will be released to other churches after that date. Contact us to confirm space available if you have additional campers to add to your group. We do our best to accommodate all registrations, but sometimes weeks do fill up so get your registrations in ASAP!

 
Fees, Discounts, & Final Payment
 
The base rate for Confirmation Camp (before any discounts) is $395. A minimum of a $100 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of registration. ALL registration fees (from church and/or parents) are due to Crossways by June 1, 2012. DO NOT WAIT TO BRING YOUR PAYMENT WITH YOU TO CAMP!
  • The Early Registration cut off date is March 15, 2012. The Early Registration deadline cut off will be determined based on the postmark or delivery to our Appleton office. There are NO exceptions.

  • Discounts – We have two discounts that confirmation students can be eligible for. You are allowed to combine these two discounts if applicable to your registrations.

    • Early Registration Discount – All registrations received before March 15th, 2012 will receive a $30 discount.

    • With One Check’ Discount – If your entire group’s registration is received with payment in full by ONE check or credit card, an additional $15 discount will apply to each registration. This applies only to group Confirmation Camp registrations. To be eligible for the discount, you must have all parents or supporting groups make their checks payable to your congregation and have the congregation send one check or credit card payment with the registrations. 

    With both discounts, the cost of Confirmation Camp is $350 in 2012. Your registrations must be received by March 15th and paid by one check to receive both discounts!

  • A minimum of the $100 deposit is due at the time of registration. ALL registration fees (from church and/or parents) are due to Crossways by June 1, 2012. DO NOT WAIT TO BRING YOUR PAYMENT WITH YOU TO CAMP!

  • We require a separate registration form signed by a parent for EVERY camper attending camp.  We cannot accept a list submitted by the church as source of registration. 

    We do provide a form for congregations to list campers registering that is used in addition to registration forms and helps clarify registrations and payments from the congregation. See information here.)

  • Upon receipt and processing of registrations, the parents/guardian will receive an acknowledgment receipt and link to the medical form and camper checklist. If you would like a statement of who is registered from your congregation, please either call or email us. We will not automatically provide these.

  • Cancellations - Cancellations are subject to our regular policy of holding the $100 non-refundable deposit as cancellation fee.  Please make sure your parents are aware of the non-refundable deposit if they are paying the deposit.  If cancellation is due to a verified medical condition or funeral attendance, only a $25.00 handling fee is charged. We require congregations to notify us of any cancellations from their congregations.  Remaining moneys due will be refunded per the church's direction. Please advise parents there is NO proration for their child only attending part of a week. There is NO refund for campers canceling less than 2 weeks before their scheduled week of camp.
     

Adult Registrations
 
We need to plan enough space for adults and keep track of all persons attending camp. Please fill out an adult registration form for all adults attending.
 
**NEW** With the ever-rising costs of operating camp, and the desire to continue to make camp as affordable for the campers as possible, the Board of Directors has suggested that an optional fee for each adult leader who attends Confirmation Camp with their students is implemented. A minimum amount of $100 per adult leader is suggested but please know that this is strictly optional. It is entirely up to the church as to an amount, if any, and when registering, your adult leader(s) will not see a bill with an amount due. It is still our hope that each congregation has at least one adult leader present for the entire week - we will not turn away any adult leader based on the amount received. Confirmation Camp Workshop Information

Pastors and leaders are encouraged to attend a Confirmation Camp workshop held in April at the camps and at other locations around the area.  You will meet the full-time staff, get information specific to your site and learn about the summer Bible study curriculum. The dates for Confirmation Camp workshops are as follows. They begin at 10am and end with a light lunch around noon.
